IBCTX recently completed 2 small bridges for a private developer in Lewisville. The access for these 125' long beams was challenging but our friends at Davis Crane brought out their 770 TN crane so we were able to set the beams from one side of the bridges with one machine! Here are a few pics of the project. Job well done by Juan and crews!

IBCTX recently completed a project in Arlington as a subcontractor. This project had a little bit of everything for IBCTX to build: 5 barrel box culvert, retaining walls, drainage flumes, rock riprap, and pedestrian railing. Here are some pictures of the project. PSA Warning!!! It is that time of year where temps are cooling off in TX and the snakes are seeking shelter! Yesterday one of our crews were moving approx. 4000 LF of CTB on a project and found this little guy curled up in one of the CTB drain slots! Luckily our crew members spotted it before anyone was bitten! They got the snake safely removed from the work area and got back to work! Just a friendly reminder to look under any items laying on the ground prior to picking them up!

Earlier this year IBCTX completed a Scour repair project for TXDOT. This included removing a section of failing box culvert, replacing the faltering sections, extending the culvert, and then reinforcing the channel with rock riprap to help prevent the scouring from happening again. IBCTX recently completed another emergency bridge repair for TXDOT. A semi lost control on a curve and drove up the concrete slope protection, damaging several bridge beams. IBCTX had to repair a few of the beams and completely remove and replace one beam with part of the bridge deck and traffic railing. We were able to complete this entire project in less then 40 days. IBCTX recently completed a phased bridge project for the City of Fort Worth. The project had some unique challenges with overhead utilities, but IBCTX was able to safely navigate the overhead hazards and complete the project ahead of schedule!

Not all projects IBCTX performs are glamorous, some projects require us to get down and dirty in the mud. Like this large rock riprap project IBCTX just recently completed as a subcontractor. TXDOT had a bridge, under a major freeway, with massive erosion issues that IBCTX was able to repair by placing over 23,000 Tons of 24-36" rock riprap in less then 6 months. Here are some before and after photos.

One of IBCTX's specialties is full service portable concrete traffic barrier (PCTB). This past summer we got an interesting phone call from a stunt coordinator for a new TV series that was getting ready to shoot in the area and they needed some PCTB to protect some utility poles where this stunt was to take place. IBCTX had just what they needed and was able to use our PCTB to protect the utility poles during the shoot. We did not think that our PCTB would make the cutting room floor, but if you have seen Episode 1. of the new series Landman, then you caught a glimpse of IBCTX Hollywood debut!
