We transformed an existing Master Bath, Guest Bath and Laundry to fit a configuration more suitable to our client’s lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.

The rooms were opened up to create a continual flow through the spaces and for multiple users to have access and entry points to common areas.

What a beautiful personalization, and a great way to take an existing house and make it their home.

Living on Schweitzer, your flooring should be able to hold up to the elements. Especially if you ski to your front door like these clients (what fun!).

We wanted to compliment the incredible views that mountain living provides and these new selections do just that. We did away with the existing carpet and linoleum, and replaced with LVP and a faux-stone tile in the wet areas of the house. What a lovely transformation!

As we’ve mentioned before, LVP is a great way to get a wood look without the wood maintenance. And, it takes the worry out of walking on your floors with wet boots.

Tile is an incredible choice for wet areas of the house (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, etc) and is perfect for a ski-in entry. And with so many looks and textures, there’s something for everyone.

Luxury Vinyl Plank (most commonly known as LVP) is a very versatile flooring choice for homeowners. It’s a great option for affordability, durability and cleanability. Since it’s waterproof, it can be installed in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Because of this, you’re able to have a continuous floor throughout your home making for a seamless and transition-less look.

Our clients needed their flooring replaced after a very unfortunate flooding experience. We fixed them up from moving furniture, inspecting the subfloor, installing the new flooring and ensuring it appeared as if we were never there except for their shiny new floor!

Here are a few pros and cons to help assist you in your decision for LVP floors :

PROS

- durable
- affordable
- easy to clean
- lots of colors and graphics to choose from
- waterproof
- ability for continuous floor throughout your home
- has the appearance of wood or tile

CONS

- not a green product
- not scratch proof
- some of the lower end product is made cheaply
- fades over time in direct sun
- does not cater to imperfect subfloors
- doesn’t add value to your home like hardwood or tile
- replacing planks isn’t as easy as they say
