As we finish out the heating season and move into AC season a word of advice is to refrain from buying the expensive 1” thick filters that promote “blockes allergies and pet dander “. They don’t tell you it blocks airflow as well. Often times with our heating and cooling issues its these types of filters

Reminder: More times than not we get a “No Heat” situation because of a dirty Filter or a customer fails to do an annual maintenance and its a flame sensor.

Avoid late night service fees and maintain your equipment

Two of the biggest reasons this scenario will happen is because of low freon or an airflow issue often caused by a dirty air filter. This season remember to check your air filter every month!

Avon Township's Emergency Warming Shelter is open to all residents of Lake County. The more we share on social media, the greater the awareness of our warming shelter, and you never know who may need it.

Avon Township will serve as a 24-hour warming center from Sunday, January 19th, to Wednesday morning, January 22nd. We are located at 433 East Washington Street, Round Lake Park.

We will be monitoring the weather closely. Please follow Avon Township and Avon Township Supervisor Michele Bauman for updates on our warming shelter. Please call 847- 514- 7087 with any questions about our shelter.
