Hi everyone! Here's another yearly reminder to test out the heating element on your AC before the cold comes back! That warm toasty smell is normal as dust burns off from the coil. If you have any heating problems, let us know!

Happy New year everyone! With the cool weather coming, this is a friendly reminder to test your heater out before the cold front hits! Let it run for a while and don't worry about the initial "toasty warm" smell that you get when the heat is first turned on for the season. This is just normal burning off of dust from the coil. As the year is coming to an end, so is another refrigerant change looming. A2L is a refrigerant safety classification that refers to refrigerants with low toxicity, low flammability, and low global warming potential. This new equipment is starting to become available, and existing R410a equipment production is winding down.
