At Baker Construction Co, we are experts in the seamless gutter industry. But what drives us has nothing to do with sheet metal or rain water. Our mantra in everything we do is “Peace of Mind.” – peace of mind for homeowners, the contractors who hire us, our team members, and their families. As a Gutter Installer, you’ll be responsible for installing gutters and downspouts on residential and commercial buildings. These move water away from the building, thereby protecting it. They also look great by the time we’re done with them!
We want to go to bed at night with a clear conscience about everything we do. Did we hang gutters with the highest quality workmanship? Did we interact with homeowners with respect and kindness? Did we meet or exceed the expectations of the contractors who hired us?
And don’t forget about the peace of mind for you and your family. Did I provide for my family? Did I get to spend time with my wife and kids? Did I contribute something of value to the world? Am I making progress in my financial goals? Work in a job where you can meet your personal needs and goals.
If you don’t currently know how to install gutters, don’t worry about that. We can teach you that part. But you do have to bring some things to the table if that’s going to happen.

👨🏫 Willingness to learn our system - Our quality is top notch and our system is also highly efficient. One of our crews installed 2,093 feet of gutter and downspout in one day. Think you could be part of the crew that will beat that record? (We LOVE records. Our longest single gutter ever installed was 291 feet long!)
👊 Work ethic - Show up on time everyday ready to crush it.
📐 Basic construction skills - Read a tape measure and a level accurately.
💪 Physically capable - Move and climb extension ladders.
🚙 Valid driver's license - Drive company trucks to job sites.
*We need people who have the physical ability to work outside. But we also need people with the right life skills for the job. So you might be the best gutter installer in the Midwest, but we need you to demonstrate integrity, grit, drive to impact the people around you, and a commitment to the team and to the mission of delivering peace of mind.
👨💻 Desk Jockeys need not apply! If you want to work in the same spot in the same building every day until the end of time, this is not the job for you! We work all over the northwest suburbs of Chicago, which means a change of scenery every day. 🏘 We work at a fast pace and we adapt in the moment to whatever challenges come our way on a job.
What our team is offered:
