Thank you, Milan, for sharing your ideas and priorities with us!

Recently, A2H’s Joni Bailey and Sam Jordan hosted a public input event for two important City planning efforts: Milan’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Action Plan and the Parks and Recreation Systemwide Plan update.

From safer streets and better connections to park amenities and recreation opportunities, community feedback will help shape recommendations for Milan’s future. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to participate.

This week, A2H welcomed college interns participating in the City of Memphis Division of Engineering’s Urban Fellows program to our Memphis office.

Sebastrian Morris, PE, CPESC, led the group through an office tour and a conversation about engineering careers, professionalism and the value of strong mentors and professional relationships.

One of the messages he shared was simple but important: the people you surround yourself with help shape who you become.

We’re grateful to the City of Memphis for creating meaningful opportunities for college students to learn from professionals in the field, and we appreciated the chance to spend time with this next generation of engineers.

Last week, we celebrated a major milestone for the new Frayser-Trezevant Community School: the final steel beam was set in place.

The nearly 270,000-square-foot campus will serve approximately 1,500 students when it opens in 2027, with modern classrooms, STEM and career and technical education spaces, athletic facilities, broadcast studios, graphic design labs, and more.
The Frayser community, MSCS leadership, elected officials, alumni, and even a marching band came together for the occasion. A2H’s Sebastrian Morris, PE, CPESC, spoke on behalf of our team.

We’re proud to serve as the architect and lead engineer for this important investment in Frayser’s students and community.

We’re proud to celebrate Sam Jordan, PE, QHP-IT, on graduating from the Leadership PE Class of 2026 with ACEC Tennessee.

Leadership PE brings together emerging leaders from across Tennessee’s engineering industry to develop leadership skills, build lasting professional relationships, and gain a broader perspective on the issues shaping our profession.

Sam’s commitment to growth, service, and leadership reflects the values he brings to our clients, communities, and team every day. He joins a growing group of A2H professionals who have completed the program, reflecting our ongoing commitment to investing in the development of future leaders.

Congratulations, Sam, and thank you to ACEC Tennessee for your continued investment in developing industry leaders across our state.

Ice cream and community engagement. A pretty great combo! 🍦🌳

A2H is collaborating with lead landscape architect Design Workshop to develop improvements to the Rainbow Lake Area and East Parkway Area of Overton Park. Our team unveiled preliminary design concepts at the Ice Cream Festival, giving neighbors, families, and park lovers the chance to weigh in on the direction of the project. Conversations like these, with real community members pointing at maps, asking questions, and sharing what matters to them, are what good design is built on.

Great conversations. Strong student talent. Solid representation. We were proud to take part in the 2026 Spring Architecture & Design Career Fair at the University of Memphis, hosted by the American Institute of Architecture Students.

Honored to share that the DDA West Tennessee Regional Office Campus has been named a finalist in the New Construction – Large Project category for the Memphis Business Journal's 2026 Building Memphis Awards.

It was a privilege to lead the planning and design of this campus for the State of Tennessee, creating a facility that supports the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging’s mission and the individuals and families they serve across West Tennessee.

We appreciate the many partners involved in bringing this project to completion, including the construction team at Flintco.
