šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: Meet the Mega Coil 2431-3" Ceramic Kiln!

Built for studios that fire often and need equipment that can keep up, the Mega Coil 2431-3" is designed for mid-range production, classrooms, and commercial environments. Firing to cone 5–6, this kiln delivers consistent, efficient results with minimal maintenance—making it a reliable choice for busy paint-your-own studios, schools, and high-use workshops. Included lid lifters reduce strain during loading, while multiple configuration options allow you to choose a plug-in low-fire setup or a direct-wire version for higher-demand work.

What sets this kiln apart is the Mega Coil system—oversized, super-heavy-gauge elements that last longer, reduce wear, and improve performance. Combined with 3" brick construction, durable solid-state relays, easy-to-access external thermocouples, and optional zone control, this kiln is built for smooth operation and long-term efficiency. A true workhorse for serious ceramic studios, built by Jen-Ken Kilns. šŸ”„

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: JK² Glass Kiln

Designed with glass artists in mind, the JK² Glass Kiln features a unique large, square-shaped interior that makes it easy to fire plates, bowls, tiles, and even deep sink molds—all in one load. Built for glass fusing and slumping, the JK² also accommodates taller draping molds, giving you room to explore more complex forms. Included lid lifters reduce lid weight for easier loading, and if you need even more depth, the 15ā€ upgrade expands the interior to 27ā€ Ɨ 27ā€ Ɨ 15ā€, perfect for functional work like sinks. A versatile, studio-ready kiln built to grow with your ideas. šŸ”„

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: Meet the AFG 28-E 15" 3" Glass Kiln! Big work calls for serious space—and this powerhouse delivers. šŸ”„

Our largest round kiln yet, this model features a massive 26ā€ solid round shelf and easily handles oversized projects up to 18ā€ Ɨ 18ā€ square, making it an excellent choice for large bowls, sinks, and statement glass. The round design eliminates cold corners for more even firings, while 3ā€ brick construction boosts insulation and efficiency. With two lid coils and four side coils, heat is delivered evenly from all directions, and included lid lifters make handling this powerhouse surprisingly easy. Spacious, durable, and built to work hard—this kiln is proof that bigger can also be smarter.

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: Meet the Jen-Ken 18-E 15" Glass Kiln! The 18-E has been a trusted studio staple since the 1970s, known for dependable performance in glass fusing and slumping. The larger 18-E 15" takes that legacy further with a deeper firing chamber and a 15" shelf, accommodating pieces up to 10.5" square—perfect for artists who want a little more space without stepping up to a much larger kiln.

With top and side-firing for even heat distribution, this kiln delivers consistent, predictable results. An optional quartz viewing window lets you monitor your work without interrupting the firing, giving you added confidence and control. A proven design, thoughtfully expanded for today’s glass artists—built by Jen-Ken Kilns. šŸ”„

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: Meet the AF3C 2822 3" Ceramic Kiln

The AF3C 2822 3" is a high-performance ceramic kiln designed for production-level work, firing low-fire ceramics up to cone 6 and high-fire pottery up to cone 8 (2300°F). With a larger interior than the 2422 3", it offers more room for substantial pieces while remaining efficient and reliable for multiple firings each week.

Featuring 3" brick walls and lid for superior insulation (about 20% more energy efficient than standard brick kilns), this kiln is built to hold heat and deliver consistent results. Included lid lifters make opening easier, the lower height improves access for loading and unloading, and compatibility with the Orton Downdraft System, plus optional zone control, ensures even, controlled firings. A true workhorse for serious ceramic studios.

Built for artists who fire often and fire big. šŸ”„

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: 1822 Ceramic / Pottery Kiln

The 1822 strikes the sweet spot between size, power, and practicality.

Designed to fire up to cone 6, this ceramic and pottery kiln is an excellent choice for hobbyists, home studios, and artists selling work at shows and markets.

Big enough to handle small-batch production, yet compact enough to run on a standard 30A dryer outlet, the 1822 fits easily into garage studios without the need for a 50A upgrade, extra space, or special ventilation. It’s energy-efficient, cost-effective to operate, and built for consistent, reliable results.

Features like an integrated lid prop make venting easy—something you don’t often see on larger kilns—while external thermocouples keep maintenance simple. Looking to push your high-fire work further? The optional 3ā€ brick upgrade (AF3C 1822-3") adds extra insulation and efficiency.

Whether you’re firing for personal projects or prepping for market sales, the 1822 delivers dependable performance without overcomplicating your setup. šŸ”„

šŸ”„ Kiln Spotlight: Bonnie Glo Tall

Built for busy artists who don’t have time to wait. šŸ”„The Bonnie Glo Tall is the largest kiln in the Bonnie Glo line, designed for glass artists who need fast firings, quick cooldowns, and multiple loads per day—especially teachers and active studios.

This lightweight, all-fiber kiln weighs just 35 lbs but offers a generous 15ā€ Ɨ 9ā€ interior, making it ideal for taller slumping projects and floral form molds. Because rigid fiber doesn’t absorb heat like traditional firebrick, the kiln heats only what matters—the glass—allowing it to reach fuse temperatures quickly and cool just as fast. That efficiency makes 2–3 firings per day not just possible, but practical.

No heavy shelves required—simply apply kiln wash to the fiber floor and fire directly on fiber shelf paper. For added flexibility, an optional fiber shelf can be placed directly on the kiln floor to prep projects outside the kiln.

The Bonnie Glo kilns are named in honor of Bonnie Glotfelty, whose decades of dedication to the fired arts continue through this thoughtfully designed line.

Portable, efficient, and powerful in a compact footprint—this kiln is proof that small doesn’t mean limited.

Fire more. Wait less. šŸ”„
