Our team officially broke ground earlier this week on Phase II at Lakeland Central Park.

This phase includes a 261,000 SF Class A warehouse at 1735 Winston Park Blvd, along with supporting infrastructure that will allow for future development with direct access to I-4 via the Polk Parkway. The warehouse and pad sites are anticipated to be completed in early 2027.

When fully built out, Lakeland Central Park will deliver up to 5 million square feet of industrial space, creating jobs and further strengthening Polk County’s role as a key logistics hub in Central Florida.

This week, Marcobay had the privilege of connecting with students across two campuses.

On Tuesday, we participated in the Mulberry High School Career Fair, engaging with students as they explored potential career paths.

Today, for the Great American Teach-In, we returned to Mulberry to speak with three classes about the wide range of opportunities within the construction industry.

We also visited Valleyview Elementary, where a hands-on Construction Bingo activity helped kindergarteners learn about tools and equipment used on our job sites.

Engaging with students at all levels is an important part of strengthening our local workforce and inspiring future builders.

From build-to-suit to building the suites!

We just wrapped up a 69,300 SF tenant improvement off Memorial Highway in Tampa, featuring 5,460 SF of new offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and break rooms-- all completed in under 4 months.

After building the 172,620 SF shell in 2023, we are honored to complete this TI. Thank you, Johnson Development Associates, Inc. for your continued partnership.

The Marcobay team joined fellow builders, alumni, and industry partners for a great day on the Bay; strengthening connections and celebrating a tradition that brings the construction community together.

From branding and media management to proposal development and more, design plays a major role in construction!

Our team enjoyed visiting Lakeland Highlands Middle School’s Media Design Academy, where Sara shared how the same design tools she uses in marketing—many of which the students are already learning—connect to real-world applications in the construction industry.

Hopefully, we inspired the next generation of creators and builders!

Marcobay Construction was honored to participate in this year's Clays for a Cause event, supporting the Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center. It was an incredible night combining friendly fire with real community impact.

Big thanks to CPS Investments and everyone who made it happen. We had a blast (literally)!

Project Spotlight: Catapult 3.0

Marcobay Construction was proud to serve as the General Contractor for Catapult 3.0, a state-of-the-art entrepreneurial incubator in downtown Lakeland, FL.

Originally built in 1924 as the Lakeland Cash Feed building, the plan was to preserve the structure through adaptive reuse, but during the early stages of planning, a hurricane significantly impacted the building, which led to a complete redevelopment. Staying true to the original footprint, we thoughtfully incorporated historic building elements into the new design.

Our scope included the full tilt-wall exterior and interior build-out, balancing historic character with modern, high-performance systems and finishes. In true fashion, the project was built on collaboration. We partnered with The Lunz Group, KCMH Architects, and WMB-ROI Solutions to bring the vision to life.

Inside Catapult 3.0, you’ll find:
• A commercial kitchen for food entrepreneurs
• A maker space with advanced fabrication equipment
• Flexible office and coworking spaces
• Conference and collaboration rooms
• Lake-facing event venues
• Exposed industrial architecture celebrating its heritage

Delivered in close partnership with the Lakeland Economic Development Council, Catapult’s leadership, and City of Lakeland, FL - Government, Catapult 3.0 is now fueling the next generation of founders, makers, and creators.

The CFDC Annual Meeting was a great reminder of the momentum and talent driving Polk County forward. Marcobay was honored to sponsor the event and be part of a night that shines a spotlight on the people and organizations shaping our community’s future.
