For 2018, ReRun Recycling has a unique project that began on January 2, 2018. We are taking an old Forest Service building and recycling it into a Tiny House, a Tiny Office, or something else Tiny that someone takes a liking to. We are residing the building, which includes insulating the walls and ceiling and then sealing them up and finishing them off with a new style siding. We're also putting in new windows and a door. Then well move to the inside and fit a kitchen, bathroom, living room complete with entertainment center. We think we can sleep up to eight if that many are needed. This will be a great get away cabin by the lake when we get done with it or just a place to spend the weekend when you want to get away from it all.
We'd like to get some history on our project so if you know someone who may know the vintage of this building. It looks like a 1960's or 1970's Forest Service building that was built for either a bunkhouse or held supplies out in the Outback of Oregon somewhere. It was very well built, the roof doesn't leak, and there is T & G on the inside. Of course it's painted Forest Service green which is going to take us a bit to try and sand it down and see if we can get a good wood to pop out.
By then we hope to have a buyer and can finish it off as they'd like it. We can move the building where-ever someone wants it. We may keep it as the first edition of recycling something into Tiny Homes. If you're interested in buying the Tiny Home as a home or office, give us a call at 541-350-2825.
