As a custom acoustic fabricator, GK has had many interesting soundbooth projects. This photo shows a detail involving the mobility of the booth. Client wanted its booth to be capable of movement -- on casters -- when required. But they also wanted it on a secure platform when movement is not required. We designed and fabricated a steady-state system using acrylic stands that can be unscrewed by hand and replaced with casters. We also customized the canvas ditty bag to store the casters/supports not then in use.

This large booth was designed and built for an industrial company that needed a display venue for its products. The client needed a space to showcase the actual operation of the products, but without the sound of the products/machinery disturbing other folks in that building. Hence, the acoustic treatment of the showroom.

This booth was built at GK (designed in collaboration with a systems integration partner) to serve as a quality assurance station on the assembly line of a large manufacturer. The product component enters the booth (auto doors) on a robotic sled; the doors close, and the product is put through a sound test sequence. Microphones in the booth record the component's performance and, after AI analysis of the sound the product is passed or failed. The doors open, the robotic sled exits the booth with the component and, if the part passes it is installed; if it fails the robot takes it to the reject pile.
