EG Solutions is excited to extend a warm welcome to Mike Harris as its new Chief Designer! Mike brings with him 23 years of experience in designing, planning, and managing various airport projects. He is knowledgeable in construction administration through his experience performing construction observation and management of airport, highway, and building construction projects. Mike has completed numerous airport design and planning projects including runway, taxiway, and apron rehabilitation projects; taxiway extensions; apron paving; airfield lighting design; security and wildlife fencing projects; and preparing airport layout plans (ALPs) and other planning documents.

EG Solutions proudly salutes our veterans today and every day! This year we chose to give back locally at an annual event called Manatee Stand Down. Our team assembled 120 hygiene bags for homeless veterans in our local community. At the event on Nov. 5, we were able to lend a hand making hundreds of BBQ sandwiches for attendees. It was amazing to see our veterans getting much needed health screenings, haircuts, assistance with veteran services, clothing, hygiene supplies, and so much more. 💙 ❤

Manatee Stand Down is organized by Turning Points, an amazing local organization that provides, facilitates, and coordinates services to men, women, and children who are homeless or are at the risk of homelessness in Manatee County. Some of our littles-in-training also helped put flags at the graves of veterans at local cemeteries in honor of their service.

EG Solutions Brings Stormwater Expertise to MCO

The EG Solutions team is excited to be chosen by the Professional Services Committee (PSC) at MCO and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) as the firm to provide Master Stormwater Planning Services for the Orlando International Airport.

The project involves airport water management engineering, planning, and environmental services in support of developing an overall stormwater management, and related infrastructure, plan for Authority owned property. The stormwater master plan will include and reflect current conditions and future development plans, to the extent possible, for the entire Airport campus. It will also consider upcoming rule changes from the 2020 Clean Waterways Act.

Our efforts will be to ensure that the Airport remains in the forefront of stormwater management design and permitting as the rules are changing. Our expertise from writing, and currently updating, the Statewide Airport Stormwater Best Management Practices Manual for the Florida Department of Transportation will provide the Airport with the opportunity to optimize future development of their property.
