A summer home made even better for retirement at Chautauqua Lake!
This client, a retired heavy equipment operator, purchased this home as a place to relax and enjoy his retirement. He had a vision for a new dormer and addition that would provide a functional utility area, along with some much-needed storage in the new crawl space.
Joe Flikkema designed the space around exactly what the client wanted, and Tobi and Braiden have been hard at work bringing that vision to life—with some daily help from our new client and friend along the way!

Projects like this are what we enjoy most. We don’t just build for our clients…we get to know them, work alongside them, and often make some great friends in the process.
We’re almost at the finish line, and as you can see, Tobi is pretty excited knowing this one is nearly wrapped up and it’s almost time to move on to the next!

We’re opening things up and creating a kitchen that’s brighter, more functional, and built for gathering!
By removing the closed off walls, we’re making room for a breakfast peninsula and adding a large island for even more seating, countertop space, and everyday functionality.
We also removed an exterior door and replaced it with a window, creating a much better flow while still bringing plenty of natural light into the room.
And as an added bonus, the pups of the house have discovered the perfect spot to drop in and supervise the project, especially when tummy rubs are involved! 🐾
