Wrapping up an action-packed summer in the desert with an incredible group of interns, from Universities across the country, who have been hands-on throughout the development, testing, and integration.

Over the past few months, they’ve tackled real engineering challenges, built hardware, solved problems, and gained firsthand experience.

Now we head out to compete in the Army Fuze xTech Humanoid Competition as a subsystem finalist. We’re proud of what the team has accomplished and excited to put our technology to the test.

At Hydroplane, we believe in giving the next generation of engineers the opportunity to work on hard problems and build the future they imagine.

Hydroplane is honored to have received the 2026 International Association for Hydrogen Energy Konstantin Tsiolkovsky Award for Leadership in the Aerospace Area. This international award recognizes organizations and individuals advancing hydrogen as an aerospace propulsion fuel and energy carrier for aircraft and space applications. Named after the pioneering astronautics visionary Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, it celebrates those shaping the future of hydrogen-powered flight. The award was presented in June at the IAHE Annual conference.

We are humbled to join an exceptional group of previous recipients, including NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Airbus, Iwatani Corporation, and Aerovironment Inc to name a few. This recognition reflects the dedication of the Hydroplane team and our mission to make practical hydrogen-electric propulsion a reality for the next generation of aviation. We thank the International Association for Hydrogen Energy for this honor and look forward to continuing to advance hydrogen technologies that make aviation cleaner, quieter, and more capable.

These talented students and early-career engineers are joining us to help tackle some of the most challenging problems in hydrogen aviation, sustainable transportation, and clean energy infrastructure. Over the coming months, they will gain hands-on experience in real engineering projects while contributing fresh ideas, curiosity, and innovation to our team.
