Show us your Larimar 📷 - Larimar is a rare blue variety of pectolite, a calcium sodium silicate mineral that forms in cavities within volcanic rocks. Its distinctive colour ranges from pale sky-blue to deeper turquoise tones and is linked to the presence of copper substituting into the mineral’s structure. Although widely used as a gemstone, larimar has a clear mineralogical identity grounded in the properties of pectolite itself.

Pectolite, and therefore larimar, crystallises in the triclinic system, where the three crystallographic axes are all of different lengths and intersect at oblique angles. This low-symmetry structure influences how the mineral grows, producing the fibrous aggregates typical of pectolite. In larimar, these fibres interlock in complex patterns that create the characteristic mottling and banding seen on polished surfaces. Even though single, well-formed crystals are uncommon, the triclinic lattice governs the orientation of fibres and the textures that develop within the stone.

Larimar forms in basaltic rocks of the Dominican Republic, where it is found in cavities created by volcanic activity. Mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids percolate through fractures, depositing pectolite along the walls of these voids. The presence of copper in the circulating fluids gives larimar its distinctive blue colour, a feature that sets it apart from typical white or grey pectolite found elsewhere.

The study of larimar highlights the relationship between crystal structure, chemistry, and geological setting. Its triclinic lattice controls the fibrous growth pattern, the volcanic environment provides the conditions for pectolite formation, and trace copper imparts the colour for which it is known. Together, these factors show how subtle variations in composition and structure can produce a mineral variety with both scientific interest and visual appeal.

We are attempting to make some new designs for bracelets we just created this one. What do you think 🤔

Sardonyx, silver obsidian phantom amethyst blended too complement one and other well focusing the attention around the Sardonyx.

Sardonyx is the red , phantom amethyst is purple and silver obsidian is the black, shine light sideways d everything glimmer with a different look.

We are back! We been recovering from a injury but now remaking bracelets. We have 2 new designs, a his and hers. Blue for boy, and pink for girl. Or so on.. We made these 2 for a couple.
We also got the awesome chance too remake , fix a broken bracelet someone was gifted before they died. The person who they gifted the bracket to was devastated 💔 thinking the bracelet was a loss as it broke on them and came from someone who was murdered .. but we told them we can remake and fix it! They were so excited and have patiently waited for this. We are proud that we did in fact remake and fix it. It's always wonderful when we can do something so special.
