MEMORIAL DAY PARADE CANCELED
American Legion Post 148 Memorial Day Parade 2026 has been canceled due to rain.

While the parade will not march through our streets today, the purpose and meaning of Memorial Day remain as important as ever.

The Ceremony will continue at 9:00 am, at the Bethlehem AME Church in Langhorne, 215 S. Pine Street, Langhorne PA 19047. All are welcome to attend.

Today, we honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and the freedoms we cherish. Their courage, service, and devotion to this country will never be forgotten.

As flags fly throughout our community and families gather together, let us take time to remember those who gave everything for America. May we pause in gratitude, reflect on their sacrifice, and carry their memory forward with honor and respect.

Hot take: Turning your AC OFF all day isn’t always the money-saving hack people think it is. 👀

Especially during those nasty PA humidity days. Your house absorbs heat ALL day long: walls, furniture, floors, ceilings… everything.

So when you finally turn the AC back on? Your system has to cool the entire house from scratch. 🥵

We see this mistake constantly during summer heat waves. Read the full breakdown on our blog.

Discover why turning off your AC when leaving home might cost you more in comfort and energy. Learn smarter strategies for efficient cooling this summer.

REMINDER: MEMORIAL DAY PARADE STREET CLOSURES

Memorial Day is coming up, and with it the Borough’s annual Memorial Day Parade. We understand that some residents leave around this time for the holiday, so we would like to remind everyone of the street closures leading up to and during the parade. If you are traveling for the holiday and will not be back until after the parade, please do not leave your vehicles parked on the following streets:

Beginning at 8:00 AM, the following streets will be closed:

- N. Bellevue Ave (from W. Maple Ave. to Wi******er Ave.)
- S. Bellevue Ave. (from W. Maple Ave. to Gillam Ave.)
- Richardson Ave. (from S. Pine St. to Hill Ave.)
- Flowers Ave. (from S. Pine St. to Bellevue Ave.)

Beginning at 9:00 AM, there will be additional street closures:

- W. Maple Ave. (from Bellevue Ave. to Hill Ave.)

- Pine St. (from E. Richardson Ave. to Wi******er Ave.)
- S. Bellevue Ave. (from Wi******er Ave. to Richardson Ave.)

Residents on West Marshall Avenue, West Watson Avenue, Wells Avenue, and Green Street in particular should note that access onto Bellevue will be closed during parade hours, requiring that you exit onto West Maple Avenue. In addition, during parade hours Summit Avenue will be a two-way street to allow residents on Country and Country Club Lanes to safely enter and exit.

The street closures will last until the parade concludes at noon. We request that residents relocate their vehicles to avoid parking on the streets while the closures are in effect. Please follow the temporary no parking signs along the parade route. Vehicles parked in no parking areas will be towed and fined.
