To commemorate World Water Week, Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI) spotlights two of our Senior Research Scientists, Dr. Akash Ashapure and Dr. Arun M Saranathan, for their groundbreaking work monitoring aquatic ecosystems from orbit: https://hubs.la/Q04vtYdW0

Their research helps power NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Satellite-based Tool for Rapid Evaluation of Aquatic Environments (STREAM) project. In collaboration with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, SSAI combines high-performance computing, remote sensing, and applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) to harmonize satellite data with ground measurements. Through scalable platforms like STREAM, we transform complex data into actionable environmental intelligence to detect algal blooms, protect drinking water, and build aquatic resilience.
