There is more to this ceiling than the finished look.

At Victor Township Hall, acoustic baffles are being installed throughout the main gathering space to help control reverberation and improve speech clarity.

Each baffle is individually suspended and carefully aligned around the lighting and mechanical systemsโ€”a detail-heavy installation that requires precise layout and coordination in the field.

The result will be a ceiling system that adds architectural interest while helping the space perform better for township meetings and community events.

Yesterday, Capital Area Humane Society celebrated an incredible milestone: 90 years of compassion, second chances, and service to animals and families across our community.

As CAHS reflects on nine decades of impact, RC Contractors is proud to help build what comes next. Steve joins RC as a ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, bringing more than 40 years of commercial construction experience across field supervision, project management, estimating, general superintendency, and business ownership. His experience includes education, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily, and public-sector projectsโ€”from occupied renovations to large-scale capital improvement programs.

What we're especially excited to have on our team is the depth of field leadership Steve brings. His approach is built around strong communication, accountability, craftsmanship, and keeping owners, project teams, and trade partners aligned from mobilization through close-out.

We're glad to have Steve's experience and leadership as RC continues to grow and take on larger, more complex projects.

We spent time recently with TriTerra at their Lansing headquarters. Theyโ€™re the environmental testing team working alongside us on the 820 Miller Road project.

Touring their facility, it was clear why theyโ€™ve grown five years straight on the Inc. 5000 list. But growth isnโ€™t really the story.

Dave from TriTerra said something that stuck with us: โ€œWhat sells this is not how smart we are or how sciencey we are. Itโ€™s about relationships. We want to be partners in the deal.โ€

Thatโ€™s not something every company leads with. TriTerra does.

The work matters. The relationship matters more.

Sometimes growth looks like adding a wall.

As the RC Contractors team continues to grow, we turned one office into two fully functioning workspaces for our expanding team.

It's a smaller project than what's happening on our job sites right now โ€” but it represents something bigger: new team members, added capacity, and continued growth.

We're making room for what's next.

Happy Birthday to Julian!

Outside of work, Julian is all about time with the people โ€” and pets โ€” he loves. He enjoys camping, spending time with friends, and being home with his wife and their one-of-a-kind family: a bird, a chihuahua, and two geckos.

Hereโ€™s to a birthday filled with good people, some time outdoors, and hopefully a little extra attention for the pets too.

RC Contractors has been awarded the renovation of the second floor at 101 S. Main Street in Leslie โ€” the former Mitchell's Department Store building โ€” turning it into six one-bedroom apartments.

Full gut renovation: new structural framing, complete MEP systems, fire suppression, and code-compliance upgrades throughout.

This kind of full-scope rebuild is exactly the type of technical work that prepares a GC for ground-up multifamily and student housing projects.

"This building has been part of downtown Leslie for a long time," said Matt Worthy, project manager at RC Contractors. "We're glad to help give the upstairs a new purpose."
