Recently, Peckham had the opportunity to partner with Custom Built Design & Remodeling for an impactful Youth Talent Tour.

Four candidates, along with several staff members and a parent, stepped onto an active worksite for hands-on learning and real-world exposure to the trades. The experience continued at Custom Built’s Okemos location, where the team generously provided lunch and created space for meaningful connection.

Leaders from across Custom Built rotated through to share their expertise, discuss career pathways, and offer personal insight into what success in their field looks like. A highlight of the day was hearing from owner Michael Flory, who shared his powerful story of resilience and success following tragedy at a young age—leaving a lasting impression on everyone in the room.

The day wrapped up with full stomachs (thanks to pizza!) and even fuller hearts—energized, inspired, and thinking about the possibilities ahead.

Peckham is grateful for this experience and looks forward to building a long and meaningful partnership with Michael Flory and the outstanding Custom Built team.

A little rain couldn't stop our shine at our 32nd Annual Golf Outing.

More than 350 golfers and nearly 100 sponsoring organizations came together to raise nearly $250,000 for the Peckham Community Partnership Foundation, supporting programs and opportunities that help people thrive.

This year's outing shined a spotlight on our award-winning Veteran Services program and the power of community to make a lasting impact. To every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, and supporter: thank you for believing in our mission and showing up for our largest fundraiser of the year.

We're proud to partner with Beecher Higher Learning Academy to help young men explore what's possible for their future.

Recently, Mentor Flint accompanied a group of students to the MI Kickoff: Career and College Experience for Young Men at Ford Field, where they connected with career professionals, learned about college pathways, and gained valuable leadership and workforce readiness insights.

Experiences like these help students expand their vision for what's possible and take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals. We look forward to continuing our partnership with BHLA to invest in the next generation of leaders.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we're sharing a story that reminds us how important support, understanding, and meaningful work can be.

After being diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and OCD following a mental health crisis, Jim found stability, purpose, and a path forward through meaningful employment at Peckham. From working on the farm to serving customers in our contact center, Jim's journey demonstrates the impact a supportive workplace can have on mental health and well-being.

Today, Jim continues to grow, pursue new goals, and build a future grounded in purpose.

Recently, Peckham hosted mock interviews for students and job seekers preparing for their next step. Twenty-five candidates showed up ready to practice. Eight incredible companies partnered with us.

The impact was immediate:

Employers shared how valuable it was to support emerging talent, and how refreshing it was to see the unique strengths each candidate brought to the table.
