Astaras is proud to celebrate Josh Durfee’s 13th work anniversary!

Over the years, Josh has worn many hats. Today he is part of our Leadership Development Team and leads our Accounting team.

Outside the office, Josh is on a mission to visit every Major League Baseball stadium. The only parks remaining on his list are Milwaukee, Seattle, and Oakland/Vegas (once it opens).

Happy 5th Work Anniversary Caitlin! Caitlin James started as a temp and then was hired on full time. During her time at Astaras, she’s supported our customer service team and has become an important member of our accounting team.

Caitlin takes great pride in decorating her office, including a unique collection of anime figure tattoo art.

Today we’re excited to celebrate Lety Jimenez’s first year with the Astaras team!

Lety started off as a temp employee on our custom labeling and packaging team. She then stepped up quickly and helped out on our shipping team. And then her versatility shone through when she was made lead for the THERMACUT plasma consumables pick and pack area. Lety always seems to be in a good mood, and she is appreciated for all her hard work.

Congratulations to Lety for a great year one with the Astaras team! We look forward to many more successful years ahead!

Isabela is part of our custom labeling and packaging team. She has stepped up quickly and is currently the custom packaging lead for one of our biggest customers. She’s always quick with a friendly smile, and she is trusted and appreciated by her co-workers as an energetic, hard worker.

This week we’re excited to celebrate Lucia Zagazeta’s first year with the Astaras team! Lucia joined our Marketing Team last year as a Digital Marketing & Graphics Associate and quickly became an important part of the department. Her attention to detail and dedication help ensure customer projects and marketing pieces are creative, accurate, and on time. Lucia’s contributions were immediate, as she was brought on last year as we were preparing for the grand opening of the Astaras Tungsten Heavy Alloys facility in Clearwater, FL.

In addition to her creativity, Lucia is tri-lingual and provides valuable guidance for our customers who need Spanish and French translations for their packaging and promotional materials.

Lucia, thank you for all of your contributions during your first year with Astaras. We appreciate everything you do and are grateful to have you on the team. Congratulations on this milestone, and here’s to many more successful years ahead!

Honoring Freedom. Reflecting on Progress. Embracing Unity.

On June 17, 2021, Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday in the United States — a profound moment in our nation’s journey toward equality and justice. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached enslaved African Americans in Texas, more than two years after it was issued. It marks the true beginning of freedom for many and serves as a powerful reminder of resilience, hope, and the ongoing pursuit of civil rights.

At Astaras, we stand in recognition of this historic day and reaffirm our dedication to diversity, inclusion, and equality—values that make us stronger as a company and as a community.
