First fitment test went beautifully! 👌 Nice and snug but still super easy to put out. Now that I know everything fits good. Time for 2nd prototype and I'm gonna go with the Tesla "E" logo. Unfortunately, I can not print this in one go. So I'd come up with a way utilizing the "E" logo as a connector and pull out handle at the same time. Let's see how this thing will work out. 🤞

First working prototype on this Air Box cover panel storage box conversion. It's been a fun project (except the 3D printing part). Now I will need do to some riding and real world testing on this baby 😁

Here is the first conceptual design of the iPad mini Enclosure mount. Almost the same design feature as the one on the front dash. Goal here is to keep it as factory look and feel as possible 👍

Another Fun Scan 😁 I'm working on a concept design for a iPad mini enclosure/mounting on the back panel of the Tesla Model Y driver and front passenger seat. Design requirement (for now) is to come up with a clean, secure, semi anti-theft, and look cohesive to the back panel. Almost like molded in and factory looking. Well this should be fun 🤩

I got few people requested for a gas tank scan. Post some comments if you guys want the file and I will upload this in Cults3d 👍. If you are good with Autodesk Fusion or Solidworks you can extract the complex surface of the tank and send it to a Vinyl cutter for custom gas tank wrap or cool side tank graphics. Just an idea 💡😁

Another fail print 😩 at 90%….maybe it’s time to get a new printer. Anyways at least this time I got all 3 mounting points and it fits beautifully 👌 I’m going to try again but into 2 sections this time.

Sunday fun day! Actually any day is fun when I get to 3d scan!

13 hours into the print and it failed on me. My test fit piece only finished half way 🥲 At least it gave me 2 mounting points for test fitting. Which is dead on 🎯 👍 Very happy with that 😁 The next print will the actual functional parts.

I'm 90% complete with this Mobile 3D scanning Workstation. The adjustable/foldable keyboard and mouse tray can be use either sit down or stand up. All safety brackets are mounted and secured. I flipped this case upside down a few times, the computer and monitor doesn't even move 😂. Only my keyboard and the mouse are lose right now. Gonna have to figure out something for that next 😁.

Sometime not washing the car really helps with 3d scanning. All the dead bugs really helps out 😂 I didn’t even have to throw the markers on. Another fun project on the way 😊
