A: The smartest place to adjust is in your material selections, never in the craftsmanship or the structural systems. In a transparent cost plus model, we sit on the same side of the table to help you value engineer by exploring alternative materials, like selecting a different tier of natural stone or optimizing your cabinetry finishes, that yield massive savings without changing the architectural impact. What you cannot compromise on is the elite labor required to install those materials perfectly, or the mechanical upgrades hidden behind the walls. A premium material installed poorly always looks cheap, but a smartly sourced material installed by a master craftsman looks absolutely flawless. Always protect the budget for the people doing the work, because that is where true luxury lives.
