OPIX Systems, LLC is excited to announce the hiring of Jeffry Atkinson as Project Manager for the Houston area.
Atkinson has extensive experience as a supervisor, both in field service and operations, in the HVAC and building automation services (BAS) industry. He will primarily be responsible for the management of current projects in Houston, Galveston and Beaumont.
“We are excited to have Jeffry on board because of his vast experience but also his focus to ‘get-the-job-done,’” said Charlie Garcia, OPIX’s managing partner. “That attitude, and his problem-solving approach, make him the perfect addition to the OPIX family.”
Atkinson said he is a “self-motivated individual” who works hard and requires little to no supervision.
“I am always looking out for the best avenue to make my [current] company prosper,” Atkinson said. ‘[I have always looked] to find a company that will allow me to put my leadership, service, project and management skills to use.”
Littered in his background are stints as a BAS technician and HVAC mechanic, as well as field service supervisor and operations supervisor. All of that, he said, manifested because of his “patience and determination.”
“Jeffry meshes seamlessly with the OPIX family culture, and we look to seeing how far he can grow with us,” Garcia said.
About Jeffry Atkinson
Prior to joining OPIX, Atkinson worked at Siemens as the operations supervisor, where he managed a team of 10 technicians, and was able to close out two projects with clients that had experienced years-long problems. Previously, he spent from 2013-2021 with Hunton Services, ending his tenure there as the BAS Service Supervisor after starting as technician and working his way up. He holds certifications in NIAGARA AX and N4, as well as VykonPro, Eaton VFD Commissioning and Yaskawa VFD.
Atkinson lives in Houston and has two sons and dog. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his children, woodworking, hunting, fishing, taking his dog to the park and visiting Lake Livingston or Round Top, both in Texas. He also makes time to brew his own beer, as well as cheer for the Houston Astros. An avid baseball fan since childhood and as an adult, Atkinson also made time to skateboard from the time he was 8 until he turned 40.
