Safety Week Day 4: RESPECT- Respecting the plan is critical to every safe construction project. Following the plan, reassessing when conditions change, and empowering workers to speak up helps prevent serious injuries and eliminate STCKY (Stuff That Can Kill You) hazards. 🚧

Today's activity consisted of volunteers wearing different kinds of eye protection and taking a Reddi Whip Cream pie to the face. This demonstrated how different eye PPE offers different levels of protection, and to emphasize always using the proper level of protection to safely complete the task. 🥧 👓️

Safety Week Day 3: NATIONAL SAFETY STAND-DOWN TO PREVENT FALLS- Today we’re participating in OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls. Most fall-related incidents are preventable with the right planning, equipment, and communication. No shortcuts—using fall protection properly every time keeps everyone safe and ensures we all go home.

Due to weather across the country, most of our sites were shut down for the third day of safety week. Unfortunately, that means no activity- but making sure our employees get home at the end of the day is priority. Safety first! 🦺 🛠️ Some of our executive and management team were able to make it out to site to participate in this weeks activities so we had to snap a picture of them!

Safety Week Day 2: RESPOND- Responding means acting before something goes wrong—not after. By building safety into the plan, prioritizing controls, and adjusting as conditions change, we can eliminate or reduce hazards and protect workers before work even begins. 🚧

For the second day of safety week, everyone worked in pairs to complete a drawing exercise. One person described an image while the other attempted to draw it based solely on the description. ✏️

Safety Week Day 1: RECOGNIZE-We kicked off the week with a hands-on challenge: team members wore oven mitts while making PB&Js or tying boots—simulating loss of hand function and highlighting the importance of proper PPE and hand protection. 🥪 🥾

The construction industry has made major safety progress, but serious injuries and fatalities still happen. Identifying high-energy hazards early—and clearly communicating those risks is key to protecting workers and building a strong culture of care. 🦺 ⚡

This National Apprenticeship Week, JMS Energy is proud to recognize the apprentices who are helping power the future of renewable energy. 💡 ⚡

Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world experience, our apprentices are building the skills that drive innovation, strengthen our workforce, and support a more sustainable world. Their dedication and fresh perspectives inspire us every day. JMS has proudly enrolled 169 apprentices in our program since we began in 2024.

To our apprentices—thank you for choosing to grow your career with us and for playing a vital role in shaping a cleaner energy future. And to our teams and mentors, thank you for investing your time and knowledge in the next generation of renewable energy leaders.
