Take 19 seconds for a close-up look at heavy-equipment repair work you don’t often get to see.

Motor Mission Machine & Radiator currently have two major Caterpillar components in the shop:

The flatter rectangular component is a Cat D10 dozer equalizer bar. The center bore will be machined perfectly round and returned to its proper location, bore-welded, and then finish-bored to specification. The two outer bores will be precisely programmed and restored using the same process.

The larger round component is a Cat 16M grader blade hanger. All four bores will be bored, welded, and finish-machined to the correct size. The square pockets where the moldboard slides will also be machined flat and square, built back up with weld, and machined to specification.

This is precision repair work—restoring alignment, dimensions, and critical wear surfaces so these components can return to service.

Here are some pics of some large radiator repair & rebuild projects we have going on right now. We have a Caterpillar 994H radiator hardnose cooling package for a complete build assembly. Then we have a Caterpillar 795F radiator module for major repairs & rebuilding. Then we have a Komatsu 930E-5 Mesabi radiator that we're finishing up the rebuild to.

Here are some pics of a couple of Caterpillar heavy equipment parts we repaired & rebuilt. On the front of the trailer is a 16M grader axle assembly. On the back of the trailer is a D10T dozer ripper table frame assembly. Extensive machine work was done to both pieces in order to get all of their bores & surfaces back to spec. All of the machining was done on our Rottler EM105H Multipurpose CNC boring & milling machine. Both the grader axle as well as the ripper table frame assembly were fitted with all new genuine Caterpillar parts.

Here are some before, during & after pics of a Caterpillar 789C haul truck radiator we had in for repairing & rebuilding. The 789C radiator has fifty eight individual folded core radiator sections. Each section received a rod & repair and then each core individually pressure tested. Once the radiator is all assembled as a complete unit the entire radiator assembly is pressure tested to ensure it has zero leaks.

Here are some pics of a couple heavy equipment parts we have in for repair. The flatter rectangle piece is a Caterpillar D10 dozer equalizer bar. The center bore is getting machined until it is perfectly round & properly located in the bar. Then it will be welded up with the bore welder & then bored to size. The two outer bores will then be programmed into the machine for their correct locations & they will get the same process as the center bore. The other larger round piece is a Caterpillar 16M grader blade hanger. The four bores are getting bored, welded & then bored out to the correct size. The square pockets where the moldboard slides will all get machined flat & square, welded up & then machined to size.

Here are some pics of a Komatsu 930E-5 haul truck radiator we’re in the middle of rebuilding. The radiator is a Mesabi which is equipped with aluminum tube & fin assemblies. The LTC (Low Temp Circuit) two row radiator half is completed & passed the pressure test. The HTC (High Temp Circuit) three row radiator half is under way & getting the new rubber grommet seals & the reconditioned aluminum tubes installed. We'll post more pics when we get it all completed.

Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 995F haul truck radiator we have in for rebuilding. The radiator came in due to a ruptured tube in one of the lower radiator cores, or sections. The radiator itself has eighty two total cores. There are forty one upper cores which are short and the lower forty one cores are longer sections. Of the lower forty one sections, thirty four of them have ruptured tubes and need to be replaced. We’ll post more pics on this one as we get the repair & rebuild completed.

Here are some pics of a couple of Caterpillar grader axle assemblies we rebuilt & delivered back to our customer. The smaller axle is for a 14M Cat grader. The larger axle is for a 16M Cat grader. Both axles were completely stripped down to have all the machined bores & surfaces that had wear machined back to the OE specs. After all the bores & surfaces were back to spec we assembled the axles with all new parts. For all your heavy equipment parts repair & rebuilding needs we are here to help.
