Today I got to receive three new drones for our utilities department. We're going to be using these puppies for photogrammetry, temp sensing on generators/motors, and water tower inspections. I'm confident these airborne robots will be adding a lot of value to the GIS department by taking some of the monotonous work of GPS'ing aboveground features off the plate of our inspectors.

I know blogs are waaaaaayyyyyy out of fashion, but I'm starting to try to write more. Sharing some meditations on why trail building is so awesome. Appreciations to City of Lawrence, Kansas - Municipal Government Green River Preserve and Destination by Design Planning for helping me realize my dreams of getting better trail maps posted in our beautiful public spaces.

Joining in on trail building crews provides a fantastic perspective on all the upkeep it takes to keep recreation opportunities clear and accessible.

What an excellent first session of the LEAD program with . Could not be more grateful for the diversity of opinions, offerings, and leadership styles amongst this group. Very excited for the next one! Also, shout out to for a challenging and rewarding experience! I hadn’t previously tried out an until now. Can definitely say they are fun!
