On this project, permitting took longer than expected.
The bid process kicked off just before the holidays, and the project was awarded the day before Christmas.

Leases are signed.
Tenant occupancy dates are just around the corner.

So what do you do?

You execute.

We built a plan to start production on anything and everything we could 💪🏽

Seismic cable was hung for ductwork, acoustical ceilings, and electrical.
Walls were chalked for plumbing, and framing began just days after award.

Our framers mobilized immediately—building walls on the ground so that within days of pouring back trenches, walls can be stood and mezzanines can be built.

By reworking predecessors and successors, we pulled weeks out of an already tight schedule.

That’s how you turn delays into momentum.

“Tell the devil I’m busy”

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what this last year really meant to us.

It was a year of long days, early mornings, late nights, and more challenges than anyone sees from the outside. Drawings changed. Schedules shifted. Weather didn’t cooperate. Problems showed up uninvited. And through it all, the work still got done.

To our clients — thank you for trusting us with your projects. Thank you for the partnership, the patience, and the belief that we would deliver when it mattered most. We never take that trust lightly.

To our employees — this company exists because of you. Your skill, grit, and commitment show up every day on job sites and in the office. You carry the weight when things get hard, you solve problems that can’t be scheduled, and you take pride in doing things the right way even when no one is watching. I’m proud of the team we’ve built.

To our subcontractors and trade partners — thank you for showing up, for standing behind your work, and for grinding alongside us. Construction is a team sport, and we are better because of the people we build with.

This industry isn’t easy. It demands resilience, accountability, and heart. But this past year reminded me why we do it — because building things that last requires people who care.

Here’s to another year of hard work, strong relationships, and building something bigger than any one project.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

DreamWorks Builders 2025 Christmas party.

Last night, I looked around a room full of people: project managers, supers, estimators, office staff, field crews, their families — all laughing, talking, and celebrating another year together. It felt good.

This company isn’t just a business anymore. It’s a group of people who care, who lift each other up, who take pride in doing things the right way. A team that has fought through challenges, long days, tough jobs, impossible deadlines, and still shows up the next morning ready to build again.

Seeing everyone together reminded me why we started this in the first place: to build something we could be proud of — not just the projects, but the relationships, the culture, the sense of belonging.

To every person who’s been part of this journey — whether you’ve been here from the early days or you just started — thank you. You’ve helped turn a small construction company into a family. You’ve built this with your hard work, loyalty, and grit.

Merry Christmas to all of you, and here’s to another year of growth, opportunity, and building things that last.
