Remember, your A/C will cool about 15-20 degrees cooler than it is outside. So if it's 100 degrees outside, the best you might get is 75-80 degrees. If your building or house is well insulated, then it may get cooler. Also, if your A/C is new, it might get cooler. But on average, most systems only keep it 15-20 cooler. Save on electricity, and do NOT keep it a 65. It will never go down that low.

Your air conditioner system will be able to cool to about 15-25 (if newer) degrees from the outside temperature.
e.g., If it's 95 degrees outside, and you set your thermostat at 65 degrees, there's almost no chance your system will get the indoors to 65 degrees. Most systems will do about 15-18 differences.
