Last Week, we cooled off with our annual Shaved Ice Day! Employees enjoyed a refreshing treat, picked up this year’s company T-shirt featuring our QA Sifter, and grabbed a copy of the latest company newsletter.
Of course, no newsletter is complete without a little friendly competition! Employees took on the challenges inside for a chance to win some fun prizes.

Great businesses have great stories—and BEMA members have a lot of them.

While the BEMA team was together in Kansas City this week, Rene, Wes and Ella had the opportunity to visit with David Shroeder, President & CEO of Great Western Manufacturing, in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Great Western has been manufacturing in Kansas since 1858, making it the oldest continually operating manufacturing firm in the state. For more than 165 years, the company has combined technical expertise and innovation to serve customers around the world with sifting and processing solutions.

And Great Western has been part of the BEMA community since 1999.

Visits like this are one of the best parts of our work—getting to know the people behind our member companies, learning about their businesses, and strengthening the relationships that make BEMA a community.
