Last Friday, some of our QC team had the opportunity to attend a precision optics cleaning workshop at Keene State College.

Hosted by Keene State College and produced by Optics for the Greater Good in collaboration with APOMA, Bell Collaborative, and Ecoclean North America, the workshop brought together professionals across optics, precision cleaning, and manufacturing.

Our team spent the day focused on a critical area of performance: cleanliness and contamination control in precision optics. From surface quality and coatings to particle and film contamination, the session reinforced how tightly optical performance is tied to process discipline.

Opportunities like this are a valuable way for our team to stay aligned with evolving standards and best practices across the industry.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn alongside others in the field and continue strengthening the processes behind the optics we deliver every day.

Introducing the Left-Handed Optical Polishing Kit.

After decades in precision optics manufacturing, we recognized a long-overlooked challenge: left-handed technicians working with right-handed polishing setups.

Our new kit is designed to improve ergonomics, alignment, and workflow efficiency through a fully reversed polishing configuration.
Because precision should work for everyone.

After forty-six years with Bond Optics, Pete Luce retired on December 23rd, 2025. It is difficult to capture what nearly five decades of dedication truly means to a company, but anyone who has worked with Pete understands the impact he has had on our team and on the culture of Bond.

Pete has been a steady presence through years of change and growth. He brought experience, patience, and a level of craftsmanship that set the standard for the rest of us. He guided teams, supported coworkers, and quietly shaped the quality and consistency our customers rely on today. Simply put, Bond Optics would not be the same without the years he invested here.

We celebrated Pete with a bagel breakfast and many heartfelt goodbyes as we thanked him for everything he has given to this company. Pete, your commitment and loyalty have meant more than we can ever fully express. You will be deeply missed, and you leave behind a legacy we are proud to continue and carry forward.

We wish you a long, happy, and very well-deserved retirement.

Last Friday, the Bond Optics team was gathering for our annual holiday party at Lui Lui. It is one of the rare moments when everyone gets to step away from the shop, share a great meal, and enjoy time together outside of the workday.

Our team works hard all year and nights like this remind us why the work feels so meaningful. It is the people. The conversations. The laughs. The chance to slow down and celebrate everything we accomplished together.

We are grateful for every person who makes Bond Optics what it is, and we are looking forward to an evening of good food, good company, and a well-deserved celebration.

Picture this: It was 1967 when Bond Research Laboratories broke ground on a brand-new facility in Lebanon, NH.

This wasn’t just about building a facility, either. It was about building a foundation for innovation in optics. What started as a bold step into the Upper Valley has since grown into Bond Optics: a trusted partner in precision optics serving industries worldwide.

Fifty-nine years later, we’re still proud to call this community home while continuing to deliver the craftsmanship, technology, and precision that push optics forward.

🍂 Fall is in full swing at Bond Optics! 🍂

We’ve added a touch of autumn spirit to our space. It’s the season of fresh energy, hard work, a little fun… and we’re here for all of it.

Here’s to crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and precision optics made right here at Bond, in the heart of New England (where fall foliage is second to none!)
