🔥❄️ Out with the old, in with the new! ❄️🔥

Another complete HVAC changeout finished up by After Hours Heating and Air!

We replaced an air conditioner dating back to the 1980s, along with the existing furnace, at a local business with a brand-new, high-efficiency heating and cooling system!

Air conditioners from the 1980s typically operated around 6–8 SEER, compared to the new 15 SEER2 system we installed. That’s a huge improvement in efficiency, with the potential to reduce cooling energy consumption by approximately 50% or more!

We also installed a new 4-inch MERV 11 high-efficiency media filter, which provides better filtration than a standard 1-inch filter while allowing for proper airflow through the system. The larger filter also offers longer service intervals and helps keep dust and debris out of the new equipment.

To finish the job, we performed a complete duct cleaning, removing years of accumulated dust, dirt, and debris from the ductwork. This helps provide cleaner air throughout the building and gives the new system a fresh start!

Along with improved energy efficiency, the new furnace and air conditioner will provide better reliability, more consistent temperatures, and improved comfort throughout the year.

Before and after from a system changeout we finished last weekend!

This home previously had a heat pump with electric backup heat. We converted it to a gas furnace and new AC, giving the homeowner warm air from the vents even on the coldest days. The new system is designed to heat and cool the home efficiently and keep temperatures more consistent year-round.

We also installed a 4-inch MERV 11 filter. It helps catch dust and pet hair while keeping the new equipment cleaner—a great addition for a home with pets.
