A question we hear more than you might expect: does Mastrosimone Construction only take on large projects?

The answer is no.

Phil, Ryan and the team currently have active builds at multiple scales across Lake County, including a home nearing completion under 6,000 square feet, a foundation phase project in Mount Dora in the mid-3,000 square foot range, and the largest residential project currently under construction in Lake County in Umatilla.

The square footage is different on every one of them. The standard is not.

We wrote about this on the blog this week because it comes up often enough that it deserves a direct answer.

RoMac Building Supply sat down with Phil Mastrosimone to talk about the career, the craft, and the people behind Mastrosimone Construction.

Phil started with a music degree. Spent time in New York City trying to make it as a trumpet player. Eventually made his way to Florida, picked up carpentry work, earned his builder's license, and built one of the most recognized luxury custom home companies in Lake County.

In nearly four decades, the philosophy has never changed: "Relationships are everything."

When asked what drives him, Phil put it simply: "I like working with people that are creative and they want something different. Something that they didn't think they could ever get. That's my passion."
