We are honored to join the Master Custom Builder Council.

Since 1988, the MCBC has brought together a small group of Central Florida’s most respected custom home builders. Membership is by invitation. The builders in this council have spent decades earning the trust of their clients and the respect of their peers, and we do not take a place among them lightly.

Thank you to the members of the MCBC for this warm welcome. Thank you to our clients, who trust us with their homes. Thank you to our craftsmen and trade partners, whose work is in every detail. And thank you to the generations of builders in our family who passed this trade down to us.

We look forward to learning from this group and to giving back alongside them.

Come through the main gates with us. This one minute aerial video is a rare glimpse of the way our clients will come home every day.

Every bit of this home has been thought out. Even so, as it has come out of the ground and grown to two and three stories, changes are still being made to make sure it is exactly what they want. Sometimes you do not know what those changes will be until you have stood in the room, looking out at the lake.

The Umatilla estate is now closing in on dried in, the point where the house is sealed against the rain and the work moves inside. This season's daily downpours have had a say in that schedule. We wrote about how we work around them on the blog.

Happy Labor Day.

Today we are thinking about the many hands it takes to build something that lasts. The skilled tradesmen who show up before sunrise and stay through the worst of the Florida summer heat. Framers, masons, electricians, and craftsmen who turn a stack of drawings into a home rising out of the ground, story by story.

Our clients get the best result because we build alongside the best people around. Grateful for every one of them today and every day.

Have you ever had someone listen to you that closely?

Our clients in Wildwood gave Phil a nickname. Philder. The meaning is exactly what it sounds like.

They told him early that storage mattered to them, and he went back through the plans looking for every inch that would otherwise have been wasted. Under stairs. Behind knee walls. The dead space that exists in every house and that most builders simply frame over and forget.

He filled it.

Some of it disappears into the architecture so seamlessly you would never know it was a decision. Some of it announces itself and becomes part of the room. All of it came from one sentence a client said out loud.
