WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Ability to do overnight stays (with per diem, approx. 10 per year)
• Live within 40 minutes of Leipsic
One year or more of construction experience is preferred, but not required. Also, a class A CDL is a huge plus!

Full Job Description

Deitering Landscaping, Inc. is an Erosion Control Contractor for over 30 years in Northwest Ohio.

We are currently looking to add a skilled, reliable General Repair/ Diesel Mechanic to our team to assist in managing the day-to- day operations of our business. An ideal candidate would have general knowledge in commercial and small agricultural equipment, as well as a strong work ethic.

Applicants should be able to perform mechanical tasks such as: air brakes, drive lines, electrical trouble shooting, alternators, replacing starters, bearings, water pumps, radiators, injectors, etc.
Track maintenance records on all vehicles/equipment, to insure they are current.
Perform maintenance on equipment, small engines, truck, semis, and agricultural application equipment
Insure a clean/safe work environment
Perform welding, brazing, and fabrications
Must be willing to operate equipment during peak seasons
Making sure our vehicles are maintained and safe for our drivers
A CDL is a plus, but not a requirement

Most of our projects are prevailing wage of approximately $30-$40 per hour, drive time, load up time at a lower rate. Duties include operating tractors, skid steers, and will train on straw blowers, hydro seeders, etc. and general labor. A class A CDL is a plus. Minimal overnight stays with per diem "approx. 10 per year." Because of long hours candidate should live within 40 minutes of Leipsic. We are looking for individuals with "winning, can do attitudes!" to come along side and grow with us through expansion.
