This system is in bad shape. With that superheat reading you are definitely getting floodback to the compressor. It’s been like this for a while. Capacitor is leaking oil and needs replacement. Such deterioration and potential for equipment failure led us to recommend replacement over service. Not easy to access this equipment: it’s on a rooftop with a 2 minute walk from the hatch to the condenser location ☠️☠️☠️. Lets see what they decide.

In this episode we see this coil just blasted with hair and debris. Upon removing the suction insulation, we discovered a kink in the piping and several welded joints. We decided to remove that piece and install a section of piping 😎. Piping insulation was replaced and the closet was sealed. Yes the air filter is sticking out. They need a custom size and this one will do the job until the filter order comes through. Every yummy and delicious thing you see in the pictures was on the coil and in the air that the family was breathing 🤔☠️🤢. Think about those pictures and make YOU change your air filter MONTHLY and that it is the correct size and quality. On to the next one ✌🏻✌🏻🥶🥶😎😎

The air filters had not been changed in YEARS ☠️☠️☠️😷😷😷. Air filter changes and drain maintenance should be done MONTHLY. In a typical residential home, it can be done by the homeowner in only a minute or two. Make time for maintenance or you will have to make time to schedule service and repairs 🤷🏻‍♂️.

If your air filter looks like the ones in the is post, then you’re gonna have a real bad time. Change your air filter MONTHLY. MAKE SURE it’s the correct size and the quality needs to be decent (it CANNOT be see through).
