How are we using AI in architecture and construction? Here’s one example.
We’ve recently been asked how we’re incorporating AI into our business, and while there are plenty of applications, some of the most valuable are also the simplest.
For one of our current projects, we’re working through final exterior material selections before construction begins. We narrowed our wood siding options down to two finishes from reSAWN TIMBER co., but comparing small material samples doesn’t always tell the full story.
Using AI-assisted renderings, we were able to quickly visualize both options on the actual home, keeping the architecture, surrounding materials, and perspective consistent.
Same house. Same design. Two different wood tones.
It’s a relatively small decision in the context of an entire project, but one that has a significant impact on the finished appearance.
For us, AI isn’t about replacing the design process. It’s about making that process more efficient, visual, and collaborative. Giving our clients better tools to make confident decisions before materials are ordered and construction begins.
