Working on the dog box. Like the old saying goes " All I've got left is finishing it". Flipped it over and finished back welding the inside. A little bit of "tweaking" on the doors, and on to paint prep! There's daylight at the end of the tunnel!

Haven't posted in a day or two because I was waiting on my new phone! Upgraded to a phone that (supposedly) has better video and audio capabilities... still working on the "seasick " motion, but we're getting there!

From paint prep to all gray to (mostly) all red, the off road trailer gets a few days off. After the primer cures for a day or two, (it was dry before I finished priming it...°118 heat index will do that) the real paint begins! Two colors, can you guess what they are? Some of you know, so don't give it away!
Needed some materials to finish the dog box, so spent a few hours on the road this morning. Next pics will be of the really cool dog box I'm working on.

From the last sanding and bath to the first coat of primer! Still have some primer to spray on. Using a more heavy duty primer on the roof, frame, and under the wheel wells, just a little extra protection in the high rust areas, sorta like wearing a belt and suspenders. Probably won't start actual paint until next week.

Spent some quality time on the off road camping trailer with a tiger paw and palm sander this morning, and gave it one more bath. Little bit of prep work, and start priming it this afternoon!

Well... I didn't ask for a rig truck, didn't want a rig truck, but when one of your best customers asks you to do mobile work... you do mobile work! It's not a $100,000.00 rig, but it sure acted like one! Of course, I scheduled it for the hottest couple of weeks we've had so far. 3 t-shirts, 6-8 bottles of water, 2 bottles of Gatorade, a bottle of pickle juice, and of course, the zero sugar monster for the trip home, and I managed to not unalive myself! Extended posts, and new overhead, 4 new pig feeders ( 6' long, schedule 40, 16" pipe) that they won't be able to tear up... EVER... and a new wash rack/stock later, and now it's back to the shop! Won't be taking any more mobile jobs until at least November! This old man can't take the heat, and finally had to admit it! Couple of exciting shop projects coming up... keep watching for the off road camping trailer to come to completion, and a brand new dog box already on the table!
