The HVAC Service Technician must have the experience, skill, and physical ability to complete HVAC repairs at homes and businesses with efficiency. The service technician must be in the on-call rotation. The HVAC Service Technician must achieve dependable results with minimum callbacks and problems. The technician may be required to perform more technical repairs or additional tasks when needed. The technician will be required to call the manufacturer’s technical service departments, research, and order parts, and do what is needed to complete the HVAC repairs.

✔️ 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Insurance premium totally paid by the company. Insurance amount equal to wage times 40 hours times 52 weeks, rounded to the next higher $1,000.00. Coverage by Educators Mutual Life Insurance Company. Eligible after 90 days of full-time employment with Sherman

𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝟭:
Can do maintenance with no issues, cleaning drains, checking refrigerant charge, and handling refrigerant. Can check amps/microfarads/voltage on electrical componentry. Knows temp split and temp rise. Gas safety and service. Can do some diagnosis, differs to higher-level tech for more advanced troubleshooting. To ascend to Level 2 status, the worker needs to demonstrate initiative in growing skills. In ways such as attempting to make repairs when confident and taking learning opportunities whenever possible in or outside of work. Works in on-call rotation.
𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝟮:
Everything level 1 can do, plus troubleshooting most heat pumps and gas furnaces. Some oil troubleshooting knowledge and some geothermal troubleshooting knowledge. Experience with repairs and troubleshooting. Some hydronic knowledge and troubleshooting. Some controls, damper, and zoning knowledge. Differs to level three for advanced troubleshooting with oil, hydronics, geothermal, or controls. To ascend to Level 3 status, the worker must demonstrate an independent growth of skills and knowledge, as well as increasing consistency with work and company practice. Works in on-call rotation.
𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝟯:
Experience troubleshooting all areas. Oil, Gas, Heat pumps, Mini-splits, Geothermal, Hydronics, Controls, Zoning, Wiring, and airflow. Turns calls with minimum need for tech support or assistance. Aids lower-level technicians in diagnosis and repair techniques. Is considered a senior employee and an example for other technicians to follow. Exemplary in work, practices, and company policy. Works in on-call rotation.
