Sit in on a tool transfer review, and it's all engineering. Heat checking, shut height, ejector stroke. The purchasing leader who owns the program sits there as a spectator.
But most of what sinks a transfer isn't engineering. It's commercial — and that half belongs to purchasing.
Clear title. A warranty position on that specific tool. Payment held back until the receiving plant produces approved first articles.
No engineer can put those in place. Only you can.
