With the pending winter weather coming in this weekend, this is your friendly reminder to NOT pour salt on your concrete areas, including driveways, sidewalks and patios.

Salt corrodes concrete surfaces, resulting in discolored, cracked, and crumbling concrete.

If you need help getting your driveway cleared, give us a call to assist.

With the cold weather and possibility of snow coming this week, we wanted to share a few tips for your concrete.

NEVER put Salt on your concrete. This includes your sidewalks, driveways or porches. Salt can and will eat away at the surface of your concrete.

Kitty Litter is a good alternative for traction and the melting of ice.

Sand is another alternative that’s going to give you some traction on the ice, though it’s not going to help as much with melting.

Chemical Deicers: While most chemical deicers do not attack properly placed and cured concrete they increase the freeze/thaw cycles which can contribute to damage to your concrete and asphalt. So, if you choose to use a deicer, ice and snow should always be removed promptly and any excess deicer brushed away after the surface has been cleared.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Glad we could make this happen before school starts back!

Would like to give a big thank you to MRB for getting the pavillion done at DHIS before school starts. This will benefit the kids & teachers. We were able to purchase this with funds raised thru Youth First (Treat Trolly, Rocket Merchandise sales, Wall Mural, all fundraisers). A big "Thank You " to all of our school supporters. Without you all we would not be able to purchase items for our school, teachers & kids.

This week on , we want to thank Mike and Ellie Ballow. They are two of Chapel Hills finest when it comes to giving back to this community. We also want to thank the crew at MRB Construction.

Mike and his crew have been extremely helpful in completely several projects at the new park, including recently building us a new storage shed.

Ellie has volunteered her time and talents to many projects for us, including planning our big fundraising event, Dancing for the Diamond.

Not only have Mike and Ellie volunteered their time and skills to the new ballpark, they also are a Hall of Fame sponsor.

Thank you Mike, Ellie, and MRB Construction for all you have done for our youth!!!
