Sorry I haven't been around here much, we have had a very busy summer full of family fun! As great as it has been I have accomplished next to nothing over the last few months. But this weekend, Saturday October 8th (9 to 11) and Sunday October 9th (9 to 3) I will be doing a live demo at the house. If you are out on the drive stop on by! Address for the house is the same as the shop.

In just a couple of days, we will be hauling our tools to Texas to do some work (and play!) with family. Keep an eye out for projects accomplished, or at least some pictures of us looking cool in a new location!

Good news, everyone! Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow yesterday, indicating an early spring. Maybe we will be out forging sooner than expected -- because nothing says "reliable" like a marmot from Pennsylvania.

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that the new year is treating you well so far. With all of the rain, and now the cold coming on, it really shouldn't surprise anyone we've been dormant. Stay tuned for more posts as the weather warms up! (hopefully sooner rather than later!)

I am thinking about doing some open forging in the spring with anyone interested in working with hot metal here at my shop. If you have been making knives for 20 years you are welcome, if you have never picked up a hammer you are welcome, if you are like me and fall somewhere in the middle you are more than welcome. The only thing we request is that you bring your own metal, safety glasses and gloves, and a positive attitude.
