was established in 1994 by founder and president Andrew Altenburg. We specialize in whole barn slat and beam replacement, barn reconfiguration, and more! We will also do on-site inspections and help customers strategically plan for their future. Our equipment has been designed and manufactured by Altenburg Construction Inc. to best serve our customers and allows us to complete any slat replacement

project safely and efficiently. Our slat replacement equipment and processes are all patent pending. The company continually works on improving installation techniques, diversifying into other maintenance issues, and educating our clients with visual examples of problems. Our goal is to provide the most professional job possible.

This customer got creative by repurposing used slats and beams to build a retaining wall. This will help stabilize the hillside and prevent erosion along their service road. Smart, practical, and built to last.

Waiting too long to do a slat replacement is not only dangerous, it also increases the cost of replacement.

On this project, the slats were so bad that concrete spalled off the slats and fell into the pits and now this concrete has to be removed so the manure can flow again

Fun fact — the white school bus in the background doubled as Andy’s equipment hauler! From the very beginning, Andy has had a creative mind and a knack for making things just work.
