On Friday, our team joined Omni Architects, CMTA, and Trace Creek Construction for a ceremony to celebrate the construction progress at the new Bluegrass Community and Technical College Newtown Classroom Building.

The new four-story classroom building will serve as a central destination for student-focused programs and support resources, bringing together services that foster student success, wellness, engagement, and connection across campus.

With beautiful weather, a great team, and exciting project progress, it was a fantastic day to celebrate this project. Jeff Alexy and Auburn Mattingly were proud to represent our firm on this impactful project.

We’re proud to celebrate the topping out of the expansion at Baptist Health Corbin, a major milestone in bringing enhanced care to southeastern Kentucky.

Designed with patients and families at the forefront, the new wing introduces modern, thoughtfully planned spaces that promote healing, comfort, and privacy. The project also strengthens healthcare in the region by expanding services, supporting local jobs, and reinforcing long-term access to quality care in the community.

We are proud to celebrate a key moment in construction with the topping out ceremony for the new 350,000 square foot multi-purpose facility at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Last Friday, project partners, along with state and local officials, gathered to sign one of the final structural beams before it gets raised into place, marking significant progress on Phase I of the center’s historic expansion and renovation. The project relied on early-release structural packages (a.k.a. fast track design) to keep the project on schedule, and it is gratifying to see that fast-paced building er****on has followed suit!

This transformative project will bring enhanced event space capable of hosting trade shows, livestock exhibitions, equine competitions, sports tournaments, and more. Once complete, the expanded Expo Center will be one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country.

Fun facts:
1) KEC ranked as the #1 busiest convention centers in the US for 2024-2025.
2) KEC hosts 260+ events each year, generating an estimated $437 million in economic impact.
3) All 120 State counties are represented by participants in annual events.

Groundbreaking for the new Seneca High School took place this morning, marking an exciting new chapter for Jefferson County Public Schools and the surrounding community.

At 226,400 square feet, this project represents a major milestone as JCPS’s first new high school built in 56 years. We are proud to serve as the structural engineer on the design team and to play a role in delivering a facility that will support generations of students to come.

Schools are more than buildings. They are long-term investments in the future, and we are honored to help bring this one to life from the ground up.

We are also grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Studio Kremer Architects, CMTA, and Sabak Wilson & Lingo on this exciting project. Great teamwork makes projects like this possible, and we look forward to seeing it take shape.

📚 BCPL Hillview Library
A 14,600 sq ft renovation and addition featuring steel framing, a canopy-covered amphitheater, expanded children’s areas, a community wing, and a demonstration kitchen.

🎭 Bullitt East High School – Fine Arts Addition
A $20.0 M addition including a new auditorium, fine arts classrooms, cafeteria, and kitchen, connecting Bullitt East to the former Old Mill Elementary. Scheduled for completion in June 2026.

⚽ BCPS High School Physical Science Centers
Three 50,000 sq ft field houses at Bullitt Central, Bullitt East, and North Bullitt High Schools with turf practice fields, locker rooms, and second-floor weight rooms. North Bullitt is complete, with the other two underway.
