Forged me a new EDC knife. I was going for an 18th century style knife. Many historic knives of that era (not all) seemed to be kind of rustically made. The common man probably didn't have the money to pay a blacksmith to make a finely crafted knife. Many practical knives were probably made with whatever local materials were on hand.
I forged this by hand to shape out of an old file. I hand filed the bevels, turned a steel feral out of a piece of pipe, and made the handle out of a piece of oak firewood I had in the shop.
