Spring shots can feel confusing, but they usually come down to two categories: core vaccines every horse should be protected against, and risk-based vaccines that depend on your horse’s lifestyle. ❤️‍🩹💉

According to AAEP, core vaccines include tetanus, EEE/WEE, West Nile, and rabies. From there, your vet may recommend additional protection based on travel, showing, boarding, regional risks, or exposure to other horses.

❤️ Save this as a starting point and then talk with your vet about what your horse actually needs this spring.
