Adams Contracting, LLC has delivered the successful completion of the Jacobson Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement Project for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) at Jacobson Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
The project involved a comprehensive scope of work, beginning with the construction of a cofferdam and dewatering of a designated section of the lake to facilitate construction. Work included excavation to competent bedrock for new concrete footings and columns, installation of precast concrete bridge beams, and placement of a textured stamped concrete bridge deck. The project included the construction of a new treated timber structure incorporating stainless steel cables to create a unique railing system. The project was completed with the construction of new concrete sidewalks and steps connecting the bridge to the existing trail system.
