396 BBC finished up and headed back into Bill Hastings’ Chevelle.
Bill was kind enough to post some nice words about the engine and our work, and we really appreciate it. Always good to see one come together and know the customer is happy with it.Thanks again Bill, and thanks to Jimmy Hendrix at Ace Automotive Repair for sending him our way.

SBF Cleveland Aluminum Block Repair

Machined the block and main caps and made custom center-bolt main dowels in-house to keep the caps positively located and prevent movement, then line honed the mains.

The cam tunnel also needed repair, so we machined custom oversized bronze cam bearings and machined the tunnel for proper fit and alignment.

Sometimes you just have to make the parts and machine it right. 💪
