No job is too small.

Not every roof needs to be replaced. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

Today we were in Georgetown taking care of exposed nail heads on the ridge cap shingles. Those nails are designed to be covered with roofing sealant, but over time the sealant can dry out, fall off, or in some cases never be applied at all. Left exposed, they can eventually become a source of leaks.

Routine roof maintenance like this helps extend the life of your roof and can prevent much more expensive repairs down the road.

☀️Skylight upgrade in Frankfort today☀️

This home (that I’m standing on) has original dome skylights that are over 20 years old. In the background (where I’m pointing), you can see the neighbor’s newer, upgraded skylights—a great reminder of how much skylight technology has improved.

Modern skylights offer several advantages:

Older acrylic dome skylights can become brittle over time, and the seals and flashing around them are often where leak problems begin.

Can you spot the problems?

While repairing the house next door, I looked over and immediately noticed a few things that caught my eye:

🔹 Caulk being used where proper apron flashing should be installed.
🔹 A splash block that was cut incorrectly.
🔹 No drip edge along the roof edge.

These are the kinds of details that often get overlooked, but they're important for keeping water where it belongs—away from your home.

The best part of this view? Those beautiful hydrangeas. 🌸

Not every roof issue is obvious from the ground.

Today we’re in Richmond, KY repairing loose apron flashing on this brick home. When flashing comes loose, it can expose the step flashing underneath and create a path for water to get where it doesn’t belong.

It’s a hot one today, but we’re getting everything secured, sealed, and back the way it should be to help keep this home protected from leaks.
