Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 We are also part of something bigger.

There is a vibrant new energy taking shape across America; members like you are transforming rural and small communities. Intercounty Electric is an electric cooperative, built by the communities we serve to deliver reliable, sustainable and affordable energy. And because we answer to local members like you, rather than out-of-town shareholders, our electric cooperative has a unique understanding

our local needs. In fact, most of our leaders and employees live here in your communities. We are local and serve over 30,000 connected meters on 5,760 miles of line in all or part of ten counties (Dent, Phelps, Texas, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, Maries, Pulaski, Shannon, & Wright). Across the country, electric co-ops work together to restore power during major outages, develop new technologies and build/maintain infrastructure that benefits us all. The opportunity to create something new here, while embracing traditional community values, has never been greater. It's a passion we share with you, our members, for making our community a place we're all proud to call home. We welcome you and your comments to the Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association (IECA) page. The purpose of our page is to present helpful information and matters of interest to IECA's members and the community. We encourage you to submit your questions and comments. Any customer service issues that need immediate attention, such as power outages, should not be posted on Facebook because IECA cannot guarantee a timely response. Please report power outages by calling 866-621-3679. IECA has a 24/7 dispatcher available to take your outage calls. Any specific questions about your IECA account or your power bill should be handled in person or by phone at 866-621-3679. IECA reserves the right to remove any inappropriate, rude or offensive posts. Additionally, comments that contain vulgar language or personal attacks of any kind will be deleted. IECA reserves the right to remove any unsolicited advertising and comments that include links to other sites; are clearly off topic; advocate illegal activity; promote particular services, products or political organizations; or infringe on copyrights or trademarks. Those who repeatedly post inappropriate content will be blocked from commenting on the page. Please do not post any personal information. You risk your own security and privacy when you do this. IECA cannot guarantee that private information shared via Facebook will be protected. Please not that only the comments expressed by IECA on this site reflect the opinions and position of the cooperative. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

Did you know that electronics keep running even after you turn them off? It’s estimated that 75% of the energy used to power household electronics is consumed when they are turned off. To truly stop the energy currents from flowing, you need to unplug the devices. If you don’t want to go around your home unplugging every individual device, use power strips to disconnect multiple items at once.

One of the best ways to protect yourself from online scams is by using strong passwords. While many people focus on complexity—adding symbols, numbers and capital letters—password length is equally important. A longer password or passphrase is harder for cybercriminals to crack. Create memorable phrases made up of several unrelated words and avoid using personal information like birthdays or pet names. Use a unique password for each account and enable multi-factor authentication when possible. via NRECA
