Observed annually on the last Friday of May, National Heat Awareness Day was created by OSHA and the National Weather Service to raise awareness about the preventable dangers of extreme heat. This important day serves as a reminder that outdoor workers, laborers, technicians, and anyone spending long hours in high temperatures are at risk for serious heat-related illnesses including dehydration, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and even d--th. ☀️

At Platinum Plumbing & Heating, we see firsthand how dangerous extreme heat can be — especially for HVAC technicians and outdoor workers who continue working hard to keep homes safe and comfortable all summer long.
