The Nebraska Boys took on the 2022 Texas Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus (TACVB) Annual Conference this last week.

Here are 3 takeaways that stuck out the most...

1) Collaboration >>> Competition

It was easy to tell that everyone was there to learn and grow together.

Many of the attendees were one-person entities tasked with attracting tourists and visitors... yes, ONE-PERSON ENTITIES.

The best example happened during the 'Big Impact Strategies from Smaller DMOs" when the ED of a large DMO (destination marketing organization) stood up and told everyone that she had templates for all sorts of events and campaigns and would be happy to share them with everyone else.

2) Everyone there LOVES their acronyms!

DMO, TTIA now TTA, IACVB, and DMAI now DI, the list goes ON & ON.

While Donny and Colton do know their ABCs, sometimes we felt a little lost, however, anytime we had a question or needed some clarification EVERYONE was super polite & helpful.

This made our experience all the better and allowed us to feel right at home.

3) "Relationships Matter"

This is one of our core values at Spotlight and EVERYONE at the conference, or at least everyone we spoke to, exemplified this.

"Nebraska Nice" is something we and the state take pride in. Well, we think "Texas Nice" or something of the sort should be a thing too because we created authentic and genuine relationships the entire time we were there and never once felt like outsiders.

We are already looking forward to working with several cities and towns and to attending/sponsoring the 2023 TACVB Conference.

Congratulations to the City of Clyde, Texas & Clyde CISD on this top of the line sports complex! This project will impact lives across the nation & we are proud to be partnered with you both to have helped make this dream a reality.

Jethro Hopkins & Jeff Dousharm will be representing our team at the Ground Breaking and Naming Ceremony & will be putting shovel to dirt this Friday, June 24th.

The average sell time for an existing house in Lincoln, NE… is 8 days. CRAZY!

But for those building & selling new houses 🏡 that time is much longer… often, after the house is already in construction or fully completed.

Well, after speaking to the realtor & developer today - this project has already received double digit calls & as you can see, ground hasn’t even been broke.

We love to hear this because we want to sell your house or other real estate project before construction even begins.

Expanding into the Residential Real Estate world has been a wild ride but completely worth it when projects, like this one, come together!
