You ever notice how weird motocross people are?
You can pull into a track you’ve never been to…
Know absolutely nobody…
And by the time the first moto is over, somehow you know:
Who everybody’s kid is.
What class they’re in.
Who’s fast.
Who’s struggling.
Who just crashed.
Whose bike won’t start.
Who needs a part.
And somehow somebody you’ve never met is already yelling,
“YOU GOT THIS, BUDDY!”

By Sunday afternoon you’re borrowing tools from somebody whose name you don’t even know…
Helping load a bike you’ve never seen…
Eating somebody else’s food…
Talking s**t like you’ve been friends for ten years…
And then everybody packs up and leaves.
You might never see half of those people again.
But if you run into them at another track six months later?
“YO! WHAT’S UP, MAN?! HOW’S THE KID?!”
Like you were just hanging out yesterday.
That’s the part of motocross that people outside this sport will never understand.
It’s not the bikes.
It’s not the trophies.
It’s not even the racing.
It’s the people.
There’s this weird little community of complete strangers who will help you without asking what you can do for them.
And somehow…
the dirt makes everybody family.
That’s motocross.
And honestly?
I wouldn’t trade that part of it for anything.
If you’ve been around this sport long enough, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
